The Semrush AU search Awards are the most prestigious awards in Australia for the digital & search marketing industries. The awards celebrate marketing professionals and companies for the hard work and dedication taken over the last 12 months to enhance their client’s online presence through a range of different online marketing channels.

The Semrush AU Search Awards are presented in late November/December each year with a wide variety of entries across categories in organic & paid search marketing.
The Agency I have the pleasure of working for (Digital Surfer) and my freelance work for RC Digital have had some major success at the Semrush awards over the last few years.
In 2023 I have been Shortlisted for 8 different campaign awards and I am also a Finalist for the Young Search Professional Of The Year!!

The Best Local Campaign
The Semrush awards Winning Campaign was for Plus One Vet – A new veterinary clinic in Brisbane that opened in early April 2022. Since opening the campaign saw great success with a targeted local strategy. We were able to increase calls from Google Business Profile by 3400%. Clicks to the website increased by 1090% and Organic traffic increased by 39% in just 6 months.
Starting with strong research to identify our target market allowed us to determine the best locations to target. As Plus One Vet speaks fluently in a range of languages we decided to target the geo location of the suburb next to that of the clinic. Due to the high asian population in that area this best suited the clinic’s ideal client and target market.
Our strategy consisted of an optimised Google Business Profile with regularly updated Geo tagged photos, on-going posts to boost Google local rankings and the addition of quality written content to the website in the form of informational pages & blog articles helped to increase organic traffic. This organic strategy was paired with a targeted Google Ads campaign to help increase overall traffic and drive conversions to the clinic.
Since submitting the application for the Semrush search awards Australia, Plus One Vet has grown exponentially to the point where they now have 3 vets employed and have increased their active customer base to over 1000 active customers in just over 8 months.

While our office remains on a high from winning our first Semrush Award the hard work is only just beginning. The Awards take place every year with only campaign results from the year ahead counting towards next year’s entries.

It sees campaigns from a wide variety of categories judged by industry experts in order to receive an award for the outstanding results of search marketing professionals.
How To Apply For The Semrush Search Awards?
To apply for the Australian Semrush Awards you will need to complete an application form with a limit of 1000 words. Each campaign/category you wish to submit will need its own application. Your campaign’s results must also be within the last year to be eligible.
Applications are due in August with the shortlist being made available in September.
